Situated within a gazetted National Monument on Orchard Road, BAR KAP is among Singapore’s most quietly significant addresses. The House of Tan Yeok Nee has passed through many lives: merchant residence, colonial quarters, convent school, medicine hall. Each era is present in the walls. Each era has shaped what is in the glass.
The cocktail programme moves through these histories in sequence. Signature cocktails are drawn from the house’s distinct eras, while clay-aged cocktails, matured in traditional vessels, mark BAR KAP as Singapore’s first bar to revive this 8,000-year-old practice.
